Our Team

Livi Krevatin (PRINCIPAL CERTIFIER, DIRECTOR)

Livi is our Principal Certifier and a qualified building professional. He has a Master of Engineering, Graduate Certificate in Building and Planning, Diploma in Building Surveying, and Diploma of Building and Construction. Livi is an A Class ACT licenced, multi-award winning builder for more than twenty years. He knows and understands the building industry process from the ground up. He is passionate about developing the future of the construction industry, as a lecturer, having taught Building Construction for 23 years including the Canberra Institute of Technology and the University of Canberra. Now, as a building certifier, Livi uses his qualifications, knowledge and experience to find innovative and creative solutions to compliance issues. Livi is a preferred Certifier to the ACT Government in particular with the Public Housing Renewal Taskforce (PHRT). Livi is well respected by his peers in the industry and represents the industry on a number of professional committee’s and organisations including the Australian Standards Committee. Livi has also been called upon to provide independent expert advice to the Court in a number of jurisdictions in NSW and ACT. Livi is highly engaged, honest and direct in the provision of his opinion, thoroughly expert in his knowledge of building and construction techniques and applicable Standards and Regulations.

Annette Owen (A2 General Building Surveyor)

Annette started her career in local government in country NSW in the early 90’s as a Trainee Health and Building Surveyor. Over the next 20 years she developed her skills in residential construction within the Southern Highlands and Tamworth regions. In 2009 Annette moved to the Canberra district, where she further developed her knowledge of NSW legislation, concentrating on the Complying Development pathway for approval, while still providing professional guidance post development approval to gain a construction certificate. She holds a Bachelor or Applied Science (Environment Health) with attainment in building from the University of Western Sydney and a Diploma of Building Surveying from the Tasmania Polytechnic. Annette is accredited both in the ACT and NSW, as a general A2 certifier. She holds Membership with the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and Association of Accredited Certifiers.

Matt Baker (A3 GENERAL BUILDING SURVEYOR)

With over 10 years’ experience in the construction industry working in both the commercial and residential sectors, Matt has achieved a Bachelors degree in Architecture at the University of Canberra and is currently studying a Masters in Building Surveying at Western Sydney University. Matthew takes great pride in his work and currently holds an A4 licence in NSW, his technical knowledge and practical experience in building construction facilitates an efficient and satisfactory outcome – “there is no problem too big or too small”. In his spare time Matt enjoys travelling, whether locally or overseas.

Samantha Hansen (OFFICE MANAGER)

Sam is our resident Californian and organisational guru. She has a longstanding history in customer service as well as experience managing an internal communications program and supporting quality and completions requirements for a tier 1 construction company. Much of Sam's spare time is spent pursuing her degree in graphic design, but she still manages to make time for her other passions: sewing, illustration, going for bike rides and indulging in the silliness of her cat. Between her sunny disposition and administrative skills, Sam ensures our clients receive attentive, effective and dependable service.

STEPH LAWRENCE (CUSTOMER AND OFFICE SUPPORT)

Steph is a resourceful administration and customer service specialist, experienced in delivering a variety of workplace solutions. Her past experience has established a foundation of excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build rapport and address customer requests with ease. Taking pride in assisting clients through what can be a challenging process, Steph seeks to provide a positive experience at all stages of your build.

Catherine Britten (Accounts and Business Support)

A long work history in customer service and admin, Catherine started her work life back in the 90’s in retail stores and has since worked in fields including building supplies, a medical practice, a recruitment company and was curious enough to try a period in the public service.Catherine values building relationships with clients and takes pride in her reliability. Catherine is an early bird! Before work, she has already been out for an early morning walk, accompanied by her canine companion. She loves to cook and try new things, always with a healthy twist. She’s a book worm, very happy to spend time in the garden, direct the heavy jobs to the man of the house, and tell you where and when her next holiday will be!
